Run and do not walk to this bakery! Omg the best bread I have ever tasted and HOT. Everything is so fresh. I brought coconut rolls to the office and everyone was asking what the name of this place and where it was. They were all out of the currant rolls but I will be back for those. The man who helped me and the older woman who I believe is the owner were SO SWEET. Any review that says otherwise, I'm assuming you may not have brought the best energy into this sacred space. Oh and FYI it's cash only.

The wait was long even though there were only 3 customers and 1 left. The young man who served us took his time. 20 minutes later we left with our items. I drove an hour to get there

Besides my mothers kitchen, this is the 1st place I've gotten organic soursop tea! yes "bush tea" and with further snooping around I see they have garlic , nutmeg & ginger tea by the cup. Nice addition to the bakery, the good looking sales guy says they will have wheat grass shots this week....I will be there all winter to grab & go

If you are looking for fresh Caribbean style bread in the Bronx, Cholo is the place to go. They have them in small and large, and white bread and wheat bread, which is good. The best part of the bread is the end (nipple). They also make their sweets on premises which is a plus. The coconut rolls are a must try, and do run out quick, as well as their currant rolls. The only CON is that they are closed on Sundays, so the best advice is if you want bread for the following work week, go on Saturday afternoons.
